Ms Laura Chipp, Kingston Young Citizen of the Year 2008 and volunteer Uganda and Philippines

Ms Laura Chipp spoke of “Slavery and the Abuse of Human Rights.” From her first hand experience of working with women in these countries she gave a graphic account of how the women were consistently abused and how they were downtrodden with very little opportunity to experience fairness and justice.
